Graphic Designer

Reports to: 

Senior Brand Design Manager (SBDM)


Overall purpose of role: 

  • Design style guides from briefs set by the SBDM to support promotional & campaign activity for in-store & online 
  • To support the team in supplying the business with on brand design
  • To assist in briefing in projects to the junior members of the team
  • To assist the SBDM in supplying all channels of the business with the required quality design work, on time and to agreed deadlines for UK & ROW
  • To manage and adhere to the job management queue system
  • To build strong relationships with all members of the Design Team and internal and external client relationships
  • To research and understand the requirements following design briefs supplied by the SBDM.
  • To create impactful, creative and commercial designs for print and online (Illustration essential)
  • To support the whole design team with administrative and printing tasks when necessary
  • Ensure consistent campaign material across all channels
  • To deputise for the SBDM when necessary


Key responsibilities: 


  • Design and develop briefs & templates for promotional and generic POS, where required
  • Design and develop from briefs & templates for VM & Shopfit treatments
  • Liaise closely with printers ensuring timely production & delivery of work, where required

Web & Social

  • Ensure consistent campaign material across all digital channels
  • Creating banners and email templates for digital
  • Image work


  • Design style guides from briefs set by the SBDM for in-store and online use
  • Supply Marketing with relevant promotional design work, and if necessary, liaising closely with external agencies and suppliers in support of the Print and Design Coordinator
  • Attend campaign meetings with SBDM or alone when necessary and staying abreast of marketing strategy


  • Support the SBDM in protecting and promoting the brand cohesively to the same high standard across all channels in UK & ROW
  • Creating brand templates to support & standardise the look and feel for internal & external use


  • Issue Franchise partners / International business with style guides & marketing packs for promotional & campaign activity

Design Archive 

  • Help maintain the design archives and share relevant files when requested
  • Keeping the server & FTP clean, archived & well organised

Specific Job Skills:  

  • Fluent on Mac and PC
  • Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite (CS6) Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
  • Video editing would be an advantage, but not essential
  • Microsoft Office (Word PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Extremely organised and methodical



  • Qualified to Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree level in a relevant Design field, from a recognised Art University.


Management Ability:  

  • Experience in mentoring junior designers 
  • Experience assisting the SBDM in managing work flow to the junior designers when required
